Council Decision (EU) 2020/272 of 20 February 2020 on the signing, on behalf of the European Union, and provisional application of the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Seychelles and its implementing protocol (2020-2026)

Article 1

The signing on behalf of the Union of the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Seychelles (‘the Partnership Agreement’) and the Protocol on the Implementation of the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Seychelles (2020‐2026) (‘the Protocol’) is hereby authorised, subject to the conclusion of the said acts  ( 3 ) .

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person(s) empowered to sign the Partership Agreement and the Protocol on behalf of the Union.

Article 3

The Partnership Agreement and the Protocol shall be applied on a provisional basis as from the date of the signature thereof  ( 4 ) , pending the completion of the procedures necessary for their entry into force.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
