Article 1

Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

ANNEX In Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 the following entries are added under the heading ‘Legal persons, groups and entities’: 1. ‘Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) ( alias: (a) Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant – West Africa (ISIL-WA); (b) Islamic State of Iraq and Syria – West Africa (ISIS-WA); (c) Islamic State of Iraq and Syria West Africa Province (ISISWAP); (d) Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – West Africa). Other information: Associated with the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (listed as Al-Qaida in Iraq). Formed in March 2015 by Abubakar Shekau. Splinter group of Jama'atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda'Awati Wal-Jihad (Boko Haram). Committed terrorist attacks in Nigeria.
