Article 1

Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013 is amended as follows:

(1)

Article 5 is amended as follows:

(a)

in paragraphs (2), (3) and (4), the date ‘31 December 2022’ is replaced by the date ‘31 December 2032’;

(b)

the following paragraph is added:

‘5.   The Commission shall report to the European Parliament and to the Council on the application of this Article by 30 June 2031.’

(2)

Annex I is replaced by the text set out in the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the seventh day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
