Article 1

The Annex to Decision 2014/145/CFSP is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Decision.

Article 2

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

Aleksandr Kalinin is a Moldovan politician and the leader of the Party of Regions of Moldova. Since the start of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, he has travelled in the occupied areas of eastern Ukraine and provided support to Russian military forces. Additionally, he has publicly promoted the Russian symbols of the invasion of Ukraine and Russian actions in eastern Ukraine.

He is therefore responsible for supporting actions and policies which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Grigore Caramalac is a Russian/Moldovan businessperson. He exercises control over the IFAVIS Foundation (Russian Federation), through which he has engaged in organising patriotic and sports events in the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine, with the support of the occupation authorities. Furthermore, he is the assistant to the Russian senator for the Kursk region, Alexander Bryksin.

He is therefore responsible for supporting actions and policies which undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. Grigore Caramalac is also associated with Alexander Bryksin.
