Article 1

The Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova on the status of the European Union Partnership Mission in Moldova (EUPM Moldova)  ( 3 ) (the ‘Agreement’) is hereby approved on behalf of the Union.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to designate the person(s) empowered to sign the Agreement in order to bind the Union.

Article 3

The Agreement shall be applied on a provisional basis as from the signature thereof, pending the completion of the procedures necessary for its entry into force.

Article 4

The President of the Council shall, on behalf of the Union, give the notification provided for in Article 19, paragraph 2, of the Agreement  ( 4 ) .

Article 5

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
