The reference of the harmonised standard for direct remote identification of unmanned aircraft systems drafted in support of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/945 listed in the Annex to this Decision is hereby published in the Official Journal of the European Union with restriction.

This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

ANNEX No Reference of the standard 1 EN 4709-002:2023 Aerospace series – Unmanned Aircraft Systems – Part 002: Direct Remote identification Restriction: Harmonised standard EN 4709-002:2023 does not confer a presumption of conformity with the requirements set out in Part 2(12)(b), Part 3(14)(b), Part 4(9)(b), and Part 6(3) of the Annex to Regulation (EU) 2019/945 which require the direct remote identification function to broadcast the signal ‘in a way that it can be received directly by existing mobile devices within the broadcasting range’.
