Commission Regulation (EU) 2024/1808 of 1 July 2024 amending Regulation (EU) 2023/915 as regards the application date of lower maximum levels for ergot sclerotia and ergot alkaloids in food

Article 1

Regulation (EU) 2023/915 is amended as follows:

(1)

Article 10(1) is amended as follows:

(a)

the introductory phrase is replaced by the following:

‘Food lawfully placed on the market prior to the dates referred to in points (a) to (n) may remain on the market until their date of minimum durability or use-by date:’;

(b)

the following points are added:

‘(l)

1 July 2024 as regards the maximum levels for ergot alkaloids set out in point 1.8.2.1 of Annex I;

(m)

1 July 2025 as regards the maximum levels for ergot sclerotia set out in point 1.8.1.2 of Annex I;

(n)

1 July 2028 as regards the maximum levels for ergot alkaloids set out in points 1.8.2.1a and 1.8.2.3 of Annex I.’;

(2)

Annex I is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2023/915 is amended as follows:

in the entry for ergot sclerotia, in the table, point 1.8.1.2 is replaced by the following:

in the entry for ergot alkaloids, in the table, point 1.8.2 is amended as follows:

(a)
