Council Decision (EU) 2025/1967 of 16 September 2025 on the position to be taken on behalf of the European Union within the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the extension of the deadline for accession of Kazakhstan to the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, with regard to matters related to judicial cooperation in criminal matters, asylum and non-refoulement

Article 1

The position to be taken on the Union’s behalf at the meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in September 2025, shall be to support the extension of the deadline for the accession of Kazakhstan to the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence until 23 April 2027.

Article 2

The position referred to in Article 1 shall be expressed by the Member States that are members of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, acting jointly.

Article 3

This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
