Article 1

The protection of the name ВОЛОГОДСКОЕ КРУЖЕВО (VOLOGODSKOE KRUZHEVO), which is registered as an Appellation of Origin (AO) in the International Register, is hereby refused in the Union.

Article 2

The refusal of protection referred to in Article 1 applies to the entire territory of the Union. It shall be notified to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on behalf of the Union and also on behalf of Czechia, France, Hungary, Portugal and Slovakia as contracting parties to the Geneva Act.

Article 3

Bulgaria and Italy shall notify WIPO of the refusal of protection concerning the AO ВОЛОГОДСКОЕ КРУЖЕВО (VOLOGODSKOE KRUZHEVO) within one year from their accession to the Geneva Act.

Article 4

This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union . It shall be notified to the World Intellectual Property Organization.
