Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2018/1542 is amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

These include riot control agents, such as CS gas, which have been used as a method of warfare by Russian forces in Ukraine, in breach of Article I, paragraph 5, of the Chemical Weapons Convention, to which Russia is a State Party. The use of CS gas has been confirmed by reports published in November 2024 and February 2025 by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), following Technical Assistance Visits in Ukraine.
