In Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2016/1686, the following paragraph is added: ‘5.   The measures referred to in Article 2(1) and (2), insofar as they apply to the “Allied Democratic Forces”, shall be suspended for as long as the measures laid down in Article 2(1) and (2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1183/2005  ( *1 ) apply to that entity. ( *1 )   Council Regulation (EC) No 1183/2005 of 18 July 2005 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo ( OJ L 193, 23.7.2005, p. 1 , ELI: http://data.europa.eu/eli/reg/2005/1183/oj ).’."

This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
