Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union . Point (1) of the Annex to this Decision shall apply from 4 March 2028.

ANNEX Annex I to Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/1668 is amended as follows: (1) row 81 is deleted; (2) the following row 81a is inserted: ‘81a. EN IEC 60079-28:2026 Explosive atmospheres – Part 28: Protection of equipment and transmission systems using optical radiation.’
