Article 1

In Article 6b of Regulation (EU) No 269/2014, the following paragraph is added: ‘5l.   By way of derogation from Article 2, the competent authorities of a Member State may authorise the release of certain frozen funds or economic resources belonging to the entity listed under entry number 692 under the heading “Entities” in Annex I to this Regulation, or the making available of certain funds or economic resources to that entity, under such conditions as they deem appropriate and after having determined that such funds or economic resources are strictly necessary for: (a) the termination by 31 December 2026, of operations, contracts or other agreements concluded with the entity listed under entry number 692 before 23 April 2026 and provided that the release or making available of funds or economic resources is completed by 31 December 2026; or (b) industry purchases of critical components manufactured by and for corresponding payments to that entity with a view to enabling a transition towards alternative sources of supply provided that the release or making available of funds or economic resources is completed by 16 March 2027.’.

Article 2

This Regulation shall enter into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .
