Article 22

The following shall be substituted for Article 105, second paragraph, of the Act concerning the Conditions of Accession and the Adjustments to the Treaties : ' Until 31 December 1977, Ireland, and the United Kingdom in respect of Northern Ireland, are authorised to retain for the import of fresh meat their national rules relating to protection against foot-and-mouth disease, while complying with the general provisions of the EEC Treaty. '
