Article 28

The following shall be substituted for Article 142 ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) of the Act concerning the Conditions of Accession and the Adjustments to the Treaties : ' 1. Upon accession, new judges shall be appointed to the Court of Justice in order to bring the number of judges up to nine as provided for in Article 17 of this Act. 2. The term of office of one of the judges appointed in accordance with paragraph 1 shall expire on 6 October 1976. That judge shall be chosen by lot. The term of office of the other judge shall expire on 6 October 1979. '
