Article 3
1. Member States will have a maximum period of one week from the date of reception of the information mentioned in Article 2 by their Permanent Representations in which to make observations; the Commission may reduce this period to 48 hours in urgent cases. 2. The Commission will take into account the observations made by Member States, in particular those concerning the results of their import controls and will inform the Member State concerned of the action proposed in the light of these observations before the adoption of any decision. 3. Adoption of the Decision referred to in the second sentence of Article 4 (1), of Directive 72/462/EEC will be proceeded with at the end of the period provided for in paragraph 1.
