Article 43

Appointment of senior officials 1. The President of the Office shall be appointed by the Council from a list of candidates which shall be proposed by the Commission after obtaining the opinion of the Administrative Council. Power to dismiss the President shall lie with the Council, acting on a proposal from the Commission after obtaining the opinion of the Administrative Council. 2. The term of office of the President shall not exceed five years. This term of office shall be renewable. 3. The Vice-President or Vice-Presidents of the Office shall be appointed or dismissed as in paragraphs 1 and 2, after consultation of the President. 4. The Council shall exercise disciplinary authority over the officials referred to in paragraphs 1 and 3.
