Article 4

1. To meet the objectives of Articles 1, 2 and 3 the Commission shall conclude contracts, in the name of the European Community, with Rhône Mérieux. 2. The Director-General of the Directorate-General for Agriculture shall be authorized to sign the contracts on behalf of the European Commission. 3. Payment to Rhône Mérieux shall be made in accordance with the terms of the contracts provided for in paragraph 1.
