Article 1

The State aid which the United Kingdom is planning to grant to Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd for its plant in Sunderland, amounting to a maximum of GBP 40 million, with an aid intensity of 18,62 % gross grant equivalent, is compatible with the common market within the meaning of Article 87(3)(c) of the Treaty. Implementation of the aid is accordingly authorised.
