Article 2

Collection and exchange of information 1. Each contact point's task shall be to provide on request, in accordance with the relevant arrangements between Member States and applicable national law, any available information that may be relevant in the context of investigations into genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes as referred to in Article 1(1), or to facilitate cooperation with the competent national authorities. 2. Within the limits of the applicable national law, contact points may exchange information without a request to that effect.
