Article 1

Payment of a financial contribution by the Community to Spain Spain may obtain a financial contribution from the Community for the swift and adequate compensation of owners for the compulsory slaughter of their animals and the other costs incurred in 2001 while implementing the precautionary measures taken in accordance with Article 12 of Decision 2001/356/EC and Article 6(2) of Decision 90/424/EEC. The financial contribution from the Community shall be 60 % of the eligible expenditure for the swift and adequate compensation and the other costs.
