Aventis SA and Aventis Animal Nutrition SA, jointly liable, Degussa AG and Nippon Soda Company Ltd have infringed Article 81(1) of the Treaty and Article 53(1) of the EEA Agreement by participating, in the manner and to the extent set out in the reasoning, in a complex of agreements and concerted practices in the sector of methionine. The duration of the infringement was as follows: - from February 1986 until February 1999.
