Article 1

The Protocol relating to the Madrid Agreement concerning the international registration of marks, adopted at Madrid on 27 June 1989 (hereafter referred to as the Madrid Protocol), is hereby approved on behalf of the Community with regard to matters within its competence. The text of the Madrid Protocol is attached to this Decision.
