Article 27

1. The programme for the eradication of bovine tuberculosis presented by the United Kingdom is hereby approved for the period from 1 January 2004 to 31 December 2004. 2. The financial contribution by the Community shall be at the rate of 50 % of the costs to be incurred by the United Kingdom for the programme referred to in paragraph 1, and shall not exceed EUR 2000000, for: (a) the costs of tuberculin testing; (b) the cost of laboratory tests; (c) compensation for owners for the slaughter of animals subject to that programme.
