Article 2
This Regulation shall enter into force on the 20th day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. It shall apply from 1 October 2003. The new provision of Annex XI, Part A, point 1(a)(ii) to Regulation (EC) No 999/2001, as set out in point 2 of the Annex to this Regulation, shall apply to animals slaughtered from 1 October 2003 onwards. This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States. Done at Brussels, 27 June 2003.
