Article 1
The Commission is launching a Preparatory Action on the Enhancement of the European industrial potential in the field of security research (2004-2006) as referred to in the Commission Communication on "Implementation of the Preparatory Action on the Enhancement of the European industrial potential in the field of security research: Towards a programme to advance European security through Research and Technology". The Activities and Programme of Work for the Preparatory Action are part of the Communication (Section II) and form the basis for subsequent calls for proposals and calls for tenders.
