Article 1

The State aid up to a maximum of EUR 155000 which Italy plans to implement in order to divert heavy goods vehicles over 7,5 tonnes from trunk road SS 33 from Lake Maggiore to the A26 motorway in the period 1 June to 30 September 2003 is compatible with the common market pursuant to Regulation (EEC) No 1107/70 in application of Article 73 of the Treaty. Implementation of the aid, up to a maximum of EUR 155000, is accordingly authorised.
