Article 24

1. Vegetable seed shall be subject to official post-control by check inspection to verify its varietal identity and varietal purity on the basis of the description of the variety as supplied by the applicant, or where available the provisional description of the variety based on the results of the official examination of distinctness, stability and uniformity of the variety as provided for in Article 7 of Directive 2002/55/EC. 2. Samples shall be drawn from homogeneous lots. 3. The maximum weight of a lot and the minimum weight of a sample are given in Annex III to Directive 2002/55/EC.
