Contact committee
Article 19
1. A contact committee shall be set up which has as its functions: (a) to facilitate, without prejudice to Articles 226 and 227 of the Treaty, the harmonised application of this Directive through regular meetings dealing with practical problems arising in connection with its application; (b) to advise the Commission, if necessary, on additions or amendments to this Directive. 2. It shall not be the function of the contact committee to appraise the merits of decisions taken by the supervisory authorities in individual cases.
