Incidental mortality of seabirds and marine mammals in the course of trawl fishing 1. In the course of trawl fishing, the use of net monitor cables is prohibited. 2. Community fishing vessels shall at all times arrange the location and level of lighting so as to minimise illumination directed out from the vessel, consistent with the safe operation of the vessel. 3. The discharging at sea of offal shall be prohibited during the shooting and hauling of trawl gear. 4. Detailed rules for the application of this Article shall be adopted in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 20(2). CHAPTER III CONDUCT OF FISHING ACTIVITIES
