Article 12

In order to improve decision-making, in particular to justify and specify the determination of the contributions to be paid by Member States referred to in Article 57, the following evaluations are required: (a) the use of EDF resources shall be preceded by an ex ante evaluation of the operation to be undertaken; (b) the operation shall be submitted to an ex post evaluation with a view to ensuring that the intended results justify the means deployed.
