Article 52
1. The provisions of this Chapter are without prejudice to any liability under criminal law which the financial actors referred to in Article 51 may incur as provided in the applicable national law and in the provisions in force on the protection of the financial interests of the Communities and on the fight against corruption involving staff or officials of Member States. 2. Each authorising officer, accounting officer or paying manager shall be liable to disciplinary action and payment of compensation as laid down in the Staff Regulations, without prejudice to Articles 53 to 56 of this Regulation. In the event of fraud, corruption or any other illegal activity which may harm the interests of the Community, the matter shall be submitted to the competent authorities or bodies.
