1. Validation of expenditure is the act whereby the authorising officer responsible:
(a)
verifies the existence of the creditor's entitlement;
(b)
determines or verifies the reality and the amount of the claim;
(c)
verifies the conditions in which payment is due.
2. Articles 97 to 101 of Regulation (EC, Euratom) No 2342/2002 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the validation of expenditure.
