Responsibilities of the importer
Article 4
Where the manufacturer is not established within the Community and in the absence of an authorised representative, the importer shall have the following obligations: (a) to ensure that the product placed on the market and/or put into service complies with this Directive and the applicable implementing measure; and (b) to keep and make available the EC declaration of conformity and the technical documentation.
