Restriction and prohibition

Article 6

1.   Feed shall not contain or consist of materials whose placing on the market or use for animal nutritional purposes is restricted or prohibited. The list of such materials is set out in Annex III. 2.   The Commission shall amend the list of materials whose placing on the market or use for animal nutritional purposes is restricted or prohibited taking into account in particular scientific evidence, technological developments, notifications under the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) or results of official controls pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 882/2004. Those measures, designed to amend non-essential elements of this Regulation, by supplementing it, shall be adopted in accordance with the regulatory procedure with scrutiny referred to in Article 28(4). On imperative grounds of urgency, the Commission may have recourse to the urgency procedure referred to in Article 28(5) with a view to adopting those measures.
