Article 1

1. The aid scheme implemented by Belgium for farmers in the Walloon Region for the costs of removing and destroying the carcasses of fallen stock on agricultural holdings in the Walloon Region is partially incompatible with the internal market. 2. Only the part of the aid intended strictly to compensate the farmers obligation to carry out TSE tests in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 999/2001 is compatible with the internal market, provided that it is possible to quantify the costs precisely.
