Date of operation of the FLEGT licensing scheme
Article 13
1. The Parties shall agree on a date from which the FLEGT licensing scheme shall be operational. 2. The launch of the issue of FLEGT licenses shall be preceded by a joint technical evaluation, the objectives and criteria of which are set out in Annex VI. The evaluation shall determine that the legality assurance underpinning the FLEGT licensing scheme adequately fulfils its functions and that the systems in the Union for receiving, verifying and accepting FLEGT licenses are in place.
