Making available on the market and safety objectives

Article 3

Electrical equipment may be made available on the Union market only if, having been constructed in accordance with good engineering practice in safety matters in force in the Union, it does not endanger the health and safety of persons and domestic animals, or property, when properly installed and maintained and used in applications for which it was made. The principal elements of the safety objectives are listed in Annex I.
