Repeal

Article 40

1.   Directive 96/98/EC is repealed with effect from 18 September 2016. 2.   The requirements and testing standards for marine equipment applicable on 18 September 2016 pursuant to the provisions of national law adopted by the Member States in order to comply with Directive 96/98/EC shall continue to apply until the entry into force of the implementing acts referred to in Article 35(2). 3.   References to the repealed Directive shall be construed as references to this Directive.
