Fixing and granting of aid
Article 4
1. For the purposes of Article 10(2) of Regulation (EU) No 228/2013, Member States shall determine within the context of the programme the amount of aid to be granted in order to compensate for remoteness, insularity and distant location, taking into account: (a) as regards specific additional transport costs, the intermediate reloading costs involved in supplying goods to the outermost regions concerned; (b) as regards the specific additional costs involved in local processing, the small size of the market, the need to guarantee security of supply and the specific quality requirements for goods in the outermost regions concerned.
