Role of the NCAs in assisting the ECB
Article 90
1. An NCA shall assist the ECB in the performance of its tasks under the conditions set out in the SSM Regulation and this Regulation, and shall, in particular, perform all the following activities: (a) submit draft decisions to the ECB in respect of significant supervised entities established in its participating Member State, in accordance with Article 91; (b) assist the ECB in preparing and implementing any acts relating to the exercise of the tasks conferred on the ECB by the SSM Regulation, including assisting in verification activities and the day-to-day assessment of the situation of a significant supervised entity; (c) assist the ECB in enforcing its decisions, using when necessary the powers referred to in the third subparagraph of Article 9(1) and Article 11(2) of the SSM Regulation. 2. When assisting the ECB, an NCA shall follow the ECB’s instructions in relation to significant supervised entities.
