Independence of the Conciliation Body

Article 38

1.   The members of the Conciliation Body shall carry out their duties independently, neither seeking nor accepting instructions from the Commission, any government or body. The members shall not take part in the work of the Conciliation Body or sign a report if, in a previous office, they have been personally involved in the matter at issue. 2.   Without prejudice to Article 287 of the Treaty, the members shall not disclose any information acquired by them in the course of their work for the Conciliation Body. Such information shall be confidential and covered by the obligation of professional secrecy.
