Costs of establishing and interconnecting insolvency registers

Article 26

1.   The establishment, maintenance and future development of the system of interconnection of insolvency registers shall be financed from the general budget of the Union. 2.   Each Member State shall bear the costs of establishing and adjusting its national insolvency registers to make them interoperable with the European e-Justice Portal, as well as the costs of administering, operating and maintaining those registers. This shall be without prejudice to the possibility to apply for grants to support such activities under the Union's financial programmes.
