Translation requests by the competent authority of the host Member State
Article 18
1. In the event of duly justified doubts the competent authority of the host Member State may request additional information, including ordinary or certified translations, from the competent authority of the home Member State pursuant to Articles 4d(2) and (3) of Directive 2005/36/EC. 2. In cases referred to in paragraph 1, the competent authority of the host Member State may also request the applicant to submit ordinary or certified translations and may fix a reasonable deadline for response. 3. In the event that the competent authority of the host Member State does not receive a requested translation either from the competent authority of the home Member State or the applicant, it may take a decision based on the information available within the time limits provided for in paragraphs 2 and 3 and the second subparagraph of paragraph 5 of Article 4d of Directive 2005/36/EC.
