National measures designed to limit the impact of diseases other than listed diseases
Article 171
Where a disease other than a listed disease constitutes a significant risk for the health of kept terrestrial animals in a Member State, the Member State concerned may take national measures to control that disease and may restrict movements of kept terrestrial animals and germinal products, provided those measures do not: (a) hinder the movement of animals and products between Member States; (b) exceed the limits of what is appropriate and necessary in order to control that disease.
