Calculation of the weight of EEE placed on the market of a Member State
Article 3
1. Where a Member State calculates the collection rate on the basis of the average weight of EEE placed on the market, that Member State shall calculate the weight of EEE placed on its market in a given year on the basis of the information provided by producers of EEE, or their authorised representatives, where applicable, in accordance with Article 16(2)(c) of Directive 2012/19/EU and Part B of Annex X to that Directive. 2. Where a Member State is not able to calculate the weight of EEE placed on its market in accordance with paragraph 1, it shall instead make substantiated estimates of the weight of EEE placed on its market in the year concerned on the basis of data on domestic production, imports and exports of EEE in its territory. For this purpose, the Member State shall use the methodology set out in Annex I to this Regulation.
