Management of fishing authorisations under a chartering arrangement

Article 27

When issuing a fishing authorisation to a vessel in accordance with Article 17, 21 or 24, and when the relevant fishing operations are carried out under a chartering arrangement, the flag Member State shall verify that: (a) the chartering State’s competent authority has officially confirmed that the arrangement is in line with its national law; and (b) the details of the chartering arrangement are specified in the fishing authorisation including time period, fishing opportunities and fishing area.
