Provision of reference metadata to the Commission (Eurostat)
Article 7
1. The quality-related reference metadata shall be provided according to the European Statistical System standard specified by the Commission (Eurostat) and agreed with the Member States. 2. Member States shall transmit the quality-related reference metadata required by this Regulation in accordance with a metadata exchange standard set out by the Commission (Eurostat). The data shall be provided to Eurostat through the single entry point to enable the Commission (Eurostat) to retrieve the data by electronic means. 3. Member States shall provide those metadata to the Commission (Eurostat) not later than 3 months after transmission of the pre-checked microdata.
