Exceptional circumstances and obvious errors

Article 49

1. The penalties provided for in this Regulation shall not be imposed in cases of exceptional circumstances within the meaning of Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1306/2013. 2. Any communication, claim or request made to a Member State under this Regulation may be adjusted at any time after its submission in cases of obvious errors recognised by the competent authority.
