Means of transmission
Article 5
All requests for information, acknowledgements of receipt and replies to requests for information referred to in Articles 3 and 4 shall comply with the following rules: (a) they shall be in writing; (b) they shall be sent by post or fax, or by an electronic means that is capable of ensuring the completeness, integrity and confidentiality of the information throughout the transmission process; (c) they shall be addressed: (i) in the case of a request sent to a competent authority, to the contact person designated by the competent authority under Article 7; (ii) in the case of an acknowledgement of receipt or a reply sent to ESMA, to the contact point specified by ESMA in its request for information.
